Now the overton suite of the hotel, the 120 year old building enjoyed a resurgence following the second world war thanks to its promise of live music and Saturday evening dances for the princely sum of half a crown.

It was planned to be demolished in 2015 and replaced with 12 houses. The owner of the Forest Hills Brian Peck bought the club in 1960's. Since then, it has seen the likes of Bob Monkhouse, Tom O'Connor, Showaddywaddy and the Beatles.
