The website is a privatley funded website. A 'hobby-site' if you will, as a bit of fun. There is no financial gain or aspiration to do so. Hence none of those pop-up annoyances or adverts which would probably do neither of us (or your ad-blocker) any good anyway.

Of course for those of you who have not visited the wonderful town of Frodsham before, there is no yellow brick road and some paving slaps need fixing, but through this site you will soon discover the sights, sounds and history of our market town.

  • When did Frodsham Pictures start?

The site began in 2004. At least that's the earliest archive on our servers. Back in those early days of broadband when 0.5mb speed was the fastest you could get, We had to keep the website pictures to 1024px to match the slow loading speeds, but as most computer monitors weren't much better, so no-one knew the difference.

  • Who owns Frodsham pictures?

No-one important. Just some random person who lives in Frodsham. If you met them in the street you'd walk right past them.

Frodsham pictures is a privately owned website for the fun of it. There is no commercial gain from this venture and no free drinks or donations required. We get by by keeping running and development costs to a minimum. The server costs next to nothing. We tried to find a reasonable service in the UK, but found the costs to high here, so eventually found an ISP in Canada who could provide all the services and a full CPanel administration server panel for very little money. Which was nice.
